The brief
The Parks Trust wanted a winter draw for Willen Lake, one of Milton Keynes’ best-loved parks.
What we built
A real-ice rink under a decorated marquee on the lakeside, alongside an observation wheel and fairground operated by John Scarrott and Sons Funfair.
The result
The rink did so well that it doubled in size, from 400 m² to 800 m², for the 2024 season. Content from the rink reached over 10 million people online, and the 2024 launch was opened by the Mayor of Milton Keynes in front of more than 400 guests, community members and press.
